RIP to our friend, and co-founder of MJC, Ted Whitmore

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our friend and co-founder of MJC Ironworks, Ted Whitmore.

We have known Ted for over 30 years, and have never known another man of his caliber… a man of integrity, love and care. A lover of life and of family.

He was our friend, our brother-in-arms. In many ways, he was the glue that held us together. A bad-ass bass and guitar player himself, Ted was an avid fan of music, and musicians, and loved connecting with them. Anyone who interacted with him discovered quickly just what a huge heart he had.

Ted unexpectedly left us this Memorial Day Weekend, at way too young an age. He leaves behind a wife and son (his most treasured things on earth) – a GoFundMe has been set up to provide support for them.

We loved Ted deeply and dearly and are simply devastated that he is gone. But we are so incredibly grateful that we were graced with his presence for as long as we were.

We cannot adequately express our sense of loss. We will miss his partnership, and his devotion to this company. We were blessed to walk this road with Ted for as long as we did.

We climbed many a mountain together and survived many a challenge… Ted will always be in our hearts, and his influence will always be felt. It won’t ever be the same without him.

Rest in peace, brother.
