Russel Blake

Over the past four decades Russel Blake has established himself as a professional Bassist/concert soloist/author and domestic violence awareness advocate. 

He carries on the musical legacy of his Father Latin musical great Alex Blake, and his Brother world renowned jazz bassist Alex Blake II.

To date, he has shared his talents in 75 countries on five continents, held the title of Adjunct Professor of Electrical Bass Studies at five universities across where he shared his creation “The Universal Language Music History & Cultural Program” with a variety of audiences from Elementary through High School, Colleges & Universities, Senior Centers, Prison, Hospitals and Military installations about the history of music. 

Russel Blake currently holds 439 pieces of music in his repertoire encompassing Classical, Spanish Classical, Traditional Jazz, Brazilian, Opera, Latin & Blues musical idioms. He performs works fro Beethoven, Mozart, Segovia, Albeniz, Cole Porter, Gershwin, Monk, Jobim, Stevie Wonder & Elton John. 

Mr. Blake has earned the opportunity to tour and record with multiple music giants such as Sonny Rollins, Pharoah Sanders, Hugh Masakela, Cybil Shepherd, Chaka Khan, Harry Belafonte, El Gran Combo, Wynton Marsalis, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Mary Mary, Dreamgirls/The Lion King/Motown The Musical on Broadway NYC, Angie Stone, Brenda Russell to name a few. 

Neal Harris

At the age of 23 Neal had a late start as a musician compared to many of his peers. Playing around the Phoenix Arizona music scene with such groups as REDRUM, Contact High and Black Mariah throughout the mid 80s and 90s gave him a solid foundation as a bassist. Neal also released an E.P. with a group called The Investigators in the mid 90s featuring hall of fame drummer Hal Blaine. After a 7-year hiatus he returned to the stage with the group Lock 44. During this time Neal also started an acoustic group called “Dream Chemistry”. Dream Chemistry released two full-length studio albums world wide with moderate success. Currently Neal is playing with “Empire of Dezire” where he has had the privilege of sharing the stage with such groups as Saxon, Armored Saint, UFO, Geoff Tate and Gram Bonnet just to name a few. His influences include: Greg Chaisson (Badlands), Kenny Chaisson (Keel), Todd Chaisson (Tuff), Steve Harris (Iron Maiden), Tony Levin (King Crimson) and Chris Squiar (Yes) among many others. Neal plays Fender and Jackson Basses and Ashdown amplification.

Bully Thakidd

Bully Thakidd is a producer, musician and YouTube influencer working in the Tulsa/ Oklahoma City area. A multi-instrumentalist, Bully has served both live and in the studio as a bassist, electric guitarist, Drummer and vocalist over the course of his career. He’s played for Zydeco acts such as Chris Ardoin, and J Paul Jones as well as Gospel acts Shirley Ceasar, Fred Hammond, and Yolanda Adams.

Bully now performs mostly on the Tulsa Area and spends significant time working on various studio projects as both a Vocalist and Producer and Musician.

Bully Thakidd is best known for running the successful Bully Thakidd Youtube Channel, on which he provides top-notch reviews of guitar and bass equipment, and influences a broad range of musicians through his video releases.

The Black Donnellys

The Black Donnellys is a highly-regarded and Guinness World Record-breaking band from Dublin. Currently based in Las Vegas, The Black Donnellys are resident musicians at Rí Rá Irish Pub at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, located on the infamous Las Vegas Strip. The band consists of award-winning singer/songwriter Dave Rooney, and Guinness World Record-breaking guitarist Dave Browne.

Since arriving in America just under five years ago, The Black Donnellys have established a great fan base throughout the United States with their energetic live performances.

Last year, they embarked on a quest to set a Guinness World Record playing 60 shows in ALL 50 states in just 40 days! Racing against the clock, they examine the pursuit of the American Dream from an immigrant’s perspective and how music connects us all.

This trip is the subject of a new movie: An Irish Story: This Is My Home.

Daniel Childs

Daniel Childs is a producer, musician and YouTube influencer working in the Tampa Bay Area. A multi-instrumentalist, Childs has served both live and in the studio as a bassist, electric guitarist, acoustic guitarist and vocalist over the course of his career.

Having toured the breadth of the US in concert, Childs now performs mostly on the Florida Gulf Coast and spends significant time working on various studio projects.

Jonny ‘Dr Funk’ Rubin

Jonny ‘Dr Funk’ Rubin started busking on the street to make some money on the side, while playing in a band called ‘The Big Sets’ – and has grown a huge following online, since a video of him busking in Barcelona went viral.

Bobby Wooten

NYC based bassist, producer, songwriter, and instrumentalist, Bobby Wooten III has made the rounds. Wooten III has performed and/or recorded with David Byrne, Jennifer Lopez, Mac Miller, Jennifer Hudson, Rick Ross, among many others. He is has performed in several Broadway productions such as Wicked, The Color Purple, Lion King, Motown. He also has written and produced commercial work for the television show EMPIRE on FOX, and companies such as Nike, Adidas, Google, and KITH.

Chuck Rainey

Without any argument, he is the most recorded bass player in the history of recorded music and is the most imitated by bass players as a whole.

During the period 1963 thru 1971, Chuck toured and/or recorded with some of the most prominent artist of that era. They include King Curtis, Sam Cooke, Etta James, The original Coasters, Jackie Wilson, Harry Bellefonte, Al Kooper, The Supremes, Labelle, Aretha Franklin, Roberta Flack and Quincy Jones. Of special note; As a member of ‘The King Curtis All Stars’, the second Beatle Tour of the US took him to Los Angeles where he made a commitment to return as soon as the Universe saw fit.

Moving in 1972 from New York to Los Angeles as a member of Quincy Jones big band, his career as a studio musician continued to grow. Additionally, his unique style brought him opportunities in the television and film industries where he can be heard performing on musical themes and in the source music of numerous motion pictures, television series and sitcoms, along with radio and TV advertisements. he also has composer, arranger and production credits in his career.

Thanks in part to a brilliant conceptual nature of his musicianship, he made important contributions to the success of pop, rock, jazz fusion and rhythm & blues during the 60s’, 70’s and 80’s. As the 21st century begins, Chuck Rainey is still very much in his conceptual playing ability and performance throughout the worlds music community.

Woody Lingle

Woody has played and,or recorded with a multitude of artists throughout his career, including Gary Puckett, Steve Wariner, EmmyLou Harris, Chet Atkins, Margaret Becker, Charlie Peacock, Susan Ashton, Bill Anderson, Ricky Ban Shelton, Richie Cole, Bruce Forman, NTSU One O’clock Lab Band, Out of the Grey, Phil Keaggy, Larry Carlton, Lee Roy Parnell, Ty Herndon, Deborah Allen, Donna Theodore, Liberace, Leslie Mills and Minnie Murphy.

As a Nashville musician he played many studio sessions, as well as continuing his love for live Jazz. He wrote for TV’s “A Guiding Light” and “As the World Turns”, and played on Steve Wariner’s 1998 CMA Song of the Year, “Holes in the Floor of Heaven”. He is currently on the road with Gary Puckett and the Union Gap as Gary’s MD, bassist and vocalist, and is also the Music Director for Ebenezer Baptist Church in Cordova, SC. Whether he’s performing, producing, conducting or writing, Woody is equally at home in the Pop, Country, Rock, Latin or Jazz worlds, and he continues to infuse every situation with his love of music and lifting everyone to a higher musical experience!

Chris Raper

Chris began his musical adventure at the age of 8 playing clarinet through school until he found the instrument that would be his soulmate until this current date the bass guitar.

At 15 years old he began taking lessons from guitar great Joe Settlemires at his music school in Del City, OK. Cutting his teeth quickly on blues, jazz and country, he also studied multiple genres of music such as Funk, R&B, Classical, and Heavy Metal, even Rap.  His versatility allowed him to garnish an impressive career in the local scene as well as on the road, touring honky tonks and dancehalls around the country.

     A versatile and unique bassist, Chris can lay down a groove to the hardest funk, or lay back on a country ballad with the best of them. Rhythm to solo work, also singing lead vocals and back up harmonies, he has the ability to enhance any groups marketability in any musical situation.
