Beni Rossman

Beni Rossman – bassist, composer, arranger, and teacher – attended Duquesne University where he studied under Sean Jones and Mike Tomaro in jazz composition, arranging, and improvisation. His tours have included stops at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and the ASCAP Jazz Awards in Los Angeles. Most notably he has worked with internationally acclaimed artists such artists as David Krakauer, and Richie Cole.

In 2016, Beni started his own funk-fusion group, Starship Mantis, which released two albums over 3 years, has toured nationally and internationally, and has performed with acts such as Lettuce, Cory Henry, Ghost note, and more. Rossman has also toured with groups such as Afro Yaqui Music Collective – a contemporary big band ensemble which fuses latin, asian, african, and indigenous music into a socially conscious message.

Beni recently transplanted to L.A to invest himself in the west coast music scene.
