Wayne Nelson

For decades Wayne Nelson has been recognized as one of the music industry’s most respected bass player/singer/songwriters. He performed in various Chicago area groups in the late 60’s and early 70’s, eventually moving to LA in 1978. With Loggins/Messina fading in the rear view mirror, Messina set about forming the Jim Messina Band enlisting Wayne to play bass and share in the role of lead vocalist.

The group toured alongside Little River Band the following year and, as fate would have it, Wayne’s vocal prowess and superb musicianship led to LRB’s manager asking him to join their group for their upcoming tour of Australia, Europe, and America.

40 years later Wayne Nelson remains as a key member of Little River Band, contributing songs, singing lead and fronting the group on bass.

“For more than 50 years I’ve searched for strings that didn’t need to “break in” before they started to sound good. Well, I found them ! MJC strings are awesome straight out of the can. Warm AND punchy. Give ‘em a go……you’ll be happy you did”.
