Cris Snyder

Cris Snyder was born in Los Angeles, California and has been playing bass professionally for over 30 years. At the age of 15 Cris was performing session work and playing live with members of: The Tubes, Montrose, Journey and Y&T often having to wait outside the venue because of his young age.

In 1989 Cris was chosen and had the honor to study, for over 2 years, under legendary bass player “Tom Fowler.” (Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention and The Fowler Brothers) Cris then took advantage of the scene around him and began recording in such studio’s as: MCA Recording Studios, Disney Recording and productions, The Hit Pit and Sunset Recording studios. Cris also fell into the live scene playing such venues as: The Whiskey, The Roxy, The Troubadour, The Hollywood Bowl, House of Blues, The Baked Potato, The viper Room, and The Rainbow.

Moving to the Bay Area in the mid 90’s Cris quickly gained a reputation for being a hot young bass player and has had the pleasure and honor of sharing the stage with many of music’s greatest performers including: Ed King,( Lynyrd Skynyrd) Bob Burns,(Lynyrd Skynyrd) Randall Hall,(Lynyrd Skynyrd) Sammy Hagar, Ronnie Montrose, Greg Allman, Jefferson Starship, (Donny Baldwin) Thin Lizzy, Pat Travers, April Wine, Willie Nelson, Bo Diddley, Greg Kihn and many more…
